CBSSports.com broke a huge story Wednesday -- that the NCAA had notified various programs the eligibility of coveted recruit Shabazz Muhammad could be in question. Here's a take on the issue...

CBSSports.com released a story Wednesday detailing the questions now surrounding the college eligibility of UCLA's prime recruiting target, Shabazz Muhammad, the 6-5 small forward from Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman, the #2-ranked prospect in the nation.

It's particularly significant, especially for UCLA, since there is quite a bit riding on Muhammad's recruitment for the Bruins. We've reported that UCLA was in the driver's seat for Muhammad's commitment and that UCLA getting Muhammad could have a big impact on the status of Ben Howland's job, especially in light of the Sports Illustrated article.
