"Everybody that's offered me has had a good season this year," Denson tells FOX Sports NEXT. "Whether they're rebuilding or they're on top of the charts right now. Like, Notre Dame, they're No. 1 in the nation right now. Oklahoma is top 20. They're all competing right now in the top of their divisions."
Of the various offers and interest coming in, the 6-foot-1, 170-pound athlete admits that a few programs do ead the way.
"The ones that are sticking out right now are UCLA, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Arizona, and Washington."
Denson explains what it is about each school that he is drawn to.
UCLA: "It's a good school and it's in LA. They have good weather all year round, they have a great education, and they're doing really well right now. They just knocked off USC and they'll be in the PAC-12 Championship."
Notre Dame: "They have a good program right now. And they have more than just a good program, they have a great education over there too. They have the whole package."
Oklahoma: "I like (Mike) Stoops. He's their defensive coordinator and he likes me as a cornerback right now. I'm not really sure what I want to play, but Oklahoma is a good school to be at. There's a lot of tradition around there and it's a good program."
Arizona: "It has a lot of pros right now. They're rebuilding. I like Rich Rod and I like their entire coaching staff. It's the hometown; it's good to stay home sometimes, to have a lot of family around me and have somewhere that I can feel comfortable at all times."
Washington: "I like Washington. They're rebuilding right now and they just really caught my eye; it's another PAC-12 school that's on my radar."
"You could say that's my top five," says Denson. "But I'm still trying to keep it open to everybody. The recruiting process isn't anywhere near over for me."
Denson, who plays point guard for Salpointe's basketball squad, says that's what he will be concentrating on next."
"I'm going to focus on basketball right now, I'll get to some visits later," he states.
