MAYBE THE BEAVER players should just not go there again. Ever. Three Oregon State football players were arrested following an incident at the Impulse Bar and Grill on varying charges this weekend, making it six Beavers since May who have had run-ins with the law at the establishment.

Jordan Poyer, Malcolm Marable and Ryan Murphy were all cited back in May for incidents at Impulse. Now three more Beavs are in trouble with the law here in December on the cusp of their Alamo Bowl practices.

DE Rudolf Fifita was arrested early Saturday morning on accusations of third-degree assault and second degree disorderly conduct. DT Mana Rosa was arrested on accusations of third-degree assault and second degree disorderly conduct. LB Dyllon Mafi was arrested on accusations of third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and misrepresentation of age by a minor. All could remain in jail through the weekend with arraignment not taking place until Monday afternoon.

Fifita is a senior, while Rosa and Mafi are both juniors. Fifita has been a key member of the Beavs' d-line this season, racking up 25 tackles. Rosa and Mafi been further down the depth chart, playing in 12 and 2 games, respectively.

A story by Lindsay Schnell of the Oregonian reports there were five individuals involved. Lt. Cord Wood of the Corvallis Police Department said the incident took place at approximately 2:20 a.m. on Saturday morning. According to the police report, Fifita and Victim 1 got into a verbal argument outside the restroom at Impulse Bar and Grill that resulted in Fifita punching Victim 1 in the face. After that, "Mr. Mafi and Mr. Rosa got involved." A friend of Victim 1 then came to Victim 1's defense, and "tried to shield his friend, and he also wound up getting punched in the head and upper shoulders."

Wood said Fifita, Rosa and Mafi "fled and were located near the bar, where they were arrested" by Officer Mike Withington.

Oregon State (9-3) will hold their first of 15 bowl practices on Monday, scheduled for 11AM - 1 PM. Head coach Mike Riley, who is on the road recruiting this weekend, is expected to address the incident then and whether the three players will be suspended.

The Beavs were off last week for finals. Monday was to be their first practice since the rescheduled Dec. 1 regular season finale against Nicholls State.
