The 6-foot-2, 295-pound sophomore is already attracting interest from some of the top college football programs in the country.
Settle received his first scholarship offer last month.
"I have an offer from UNC – they offered me on February 20, after I went to their junior day," he said. "I was happy and really excited about the offer. They have had a lot of good defensive lineman."
The 2015 prospect visited Virginia last weekend.
"It was nice," Settle said. "It was my first time going there. I loved it and I got to see the indoor facility. It was a lot like UNC."
"I liked the practice because it was really fast-paced and really organized. I watched the defensive lineman a lot while I was there and they were really physical and so was the offensive line."
Although it is early, there are a few schools the Settle likes.
Settle was quick to say why the Buckeyes were his favorite school.
"Urban Meyer is a great coach," he said. "There campus is humongous and their athletic department is really successful. I haven't been up there yet, but I've done some research."
Settle has high expectations for himself this fall.
"I just want to be successful, be stronger, more powerful and have great chemistry with my teammates," he said.
Settle finished his sophomore season with 72 tackles, 25 tackles for loss, three sacks, five pass deflections and two fumble recoveries.
