Kenny Young said UCLA rolled out the red carpet last weekend.
"They really do want us," Young said. "We're high on their charts. They're focused on getting a lot of players from the south. It was real cool there. A lot of people knew who we were.
"Yeah, man, it's real nice. I've been there before and wanted to get back out there for the spring game. We also got to see things outside of football. All the coaches treated us real good and showed us things we didn't get to see last time."
Young continued describing the trip.
"They showed us how the pregame is at the Rose Bowl," he said. "It was a good experience. We got to see everything the players do, and we asked them about the coaches.
"The players love the coaches. I liked talking to Anthony Barr and Eric Kendricks. Barr could have gone to the league this year, but he came back."
Young liked the pace of the Bruins' workouts and the overall atmosphere.
"It's a fast-tempo practice," he said. "Fast, fast, fast...I got to sign some autographs at the stadium. UCLA is on the come-up right now. It's their second year with the coaching staff, and they're picking up a lot of big four-and-five-star guys. I see them winning the Pac-12 in the next year or two...the atmosphere is great."
Young recently accepted an invitation to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
"It feels good to commit to the game and knock that out of the way," he said. "It's a huge opportunity. I think Joe McKnight was the last one to go from our school. It'll be great to represent for our school and put on for Louisiana. I feel truly blessed to get the opportunity."
