McIntosh is easily among the top safety prospects in the West with a very nice upside. He's very athletic, covers a ton of ground in the secondary, has excellent ball skills and is a physical presence who can bring the wood. He can play the run and pass equally well, is very smart and is a natural leader in the secondary.
"It's my parents Anniversary on Friday so I thought that would be a good day to do it," McIntosh said. "I'm down to UCLA and Boise State and I'm very excited to make my decision. I don't have anything special planned, I'm just going to call the coaches Friday night after we're done with practice.
McIntosh went 2-2 on the summer camp circuit landing scholarship offers from the two schools he camped with, UCLA and Boise State.
"I had a great time at both schools and I felt very comfortable with the coaching staffs and the overall environment. They both have good football programs and will be good in the future. Boise State definitely felt like home to me when I was there and UCLA obviously is home so I know I can't make a bad choice between the two."
McIntosh had said earlier he wanted to take a few official visits in the fall but said once he commits, that will be it.
"I'll only visit the school I commit to," McIntosh said. "Once I commit, that's it for me, I'm done. I won't look around or take any other trips, I'm shutting it down and focusing on my senior year and getting ready for college."
