Jim Mora's opening statement on Nick Pasquale, followed by his reaction to a media member answering his phone during the emotional statement:
Thanks for being here, first of all. Certainly you can understand, it's a
very tragic time, a very difficult time here, with the loss of Nick (Pasquale).
First and foremost, our thoughts and prayers are with his family. That's
the most important thing. I got to spend quite a bit of time yesterday,
and it's obviously a very difficult time, as you can imagine, so we're just
praying for him, his mother, his aunts and uncles, his grandparents, his sister
and brother. Our players are dealing with it, each in their own way, and
we think that's the right way to do it. What's important is they're
together, they're there to support each other. This is a very close team
as everyone knows. They care desperately about each other. Nick was a
young man that had a tremendous influence on our locker room. While he only
played a few games in his career...
On the phone call during the press conference:
The disrespect of some people is unbelievable to me. Just unbelievable.
Anyway. Don't tell me to go on. I'll go on when I'm ready to go on.
Why don't you take your butt out of here if you're going to be disrespectful.
I've got nothing to say.
