"It feels great and it's a big weight off of me," said Renfro. "I'm ready to get more now."
Renfro was all-state underclass in 2012 after picking off eight passes.
Last fall, he made his biggest dent at receiver.
"Schools are recruiting me as an athlete," said Renfro. "I can play wherever. It doesn't matter. I'm probably equal at both, but to be honest, I like receiver a little more."
"I went to a Rose Bowl practice for Michigan State and I've heard a lot of Cal too," said Renfro. "I have a lot of interest in UCLA too, they've been talking to me. It's close by."
Renfro said he's in no rush to make a decision.
"I want to take my time, take some trips, go to some camps and just weigh my options a little more," said Renfro. "I've got a lot of time."
Renfro said he may do 7on7 this spring, but has definite plans to do the Los Angeles NFTC and the Sound Body, Sound Mind Camp in Detroit.
Last fall, Renfro caught 71 passes for 1,302 yards and 20 touchdowns for Sierra Canyon, earning all-CIF honors.
Defensively, he had 55 tackles and an interception.
