On playing in his hometown:
It was really nice. I couldn't ask for a better location. Being back home in San Diego. I'm glad that everyone came out and supported me, my family and friends. I couldn't have asked for a better location and I'm most happy that we got this one. It was a great team one and I'm glad we put up for my hometown.
On his steal:
I was out there trying to make a play, I didn't think that was the play of the game, but a lot of people are talking about it. I'm just glad that the play right there gave us the energy boost. That team really fought and competed and we know it will be like that. I was able to make that play.
On the start in the tournament:
We know in this tournament, any thing can happen. There will be a lot of upsets and teams competing so it's about what we do. If we come out, work hard and play together, it will give us a great chance of winning. That's what we did again today.
On the last five minutes:
It's all about focus. We know that sometimes we're not going to get the calls we want or we're not going to hit the shots we want to make, so it's all about getting stops and that's what we did the last 4-5 minutes. We were able to get out and get to the free throw line and get buckets.
On Stephen F. Austin:
I know they have a 29-game winning streak or something like that. It's going to be a good game. They beat VCU in the last couple minutes of overtime. They're a real good team, who'll fight hard and compete and we're looking forward to seeing how they play.
