James Talks Ohio State Visit

Andre James

Andre James is one of the most highly sought after prospects on the West Coast, but a school from back East may be the one's that end up with the elite offensive tackle from Herriman, Utah...

Name: Andre James
High School: Herriman (Utah)
Position: Offensive Tackle
Size: 6-5, 270 pounds
Class: 2015
Ranking: Four-Star Offensive Tackle, No. 166 nationally
Recruiting: In early May, Andre James released his top six schools, including Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, UCLA, USC, and Utah. All five of the out-of-state schools will be receiving official visits from the highly-sought after linemen. James wasn't planning to do much traveling this spring/summer, but made a last second decision to check out Ohio State. The unofficial visit bodes well for the Buckeyes, James loved the visit.

There was speculation early on that James was going to stay on the West Coast, and play in the Pac-12, but Ohio State has recently emerged as legitimate contenders.

James is one of the most athletic linemen in America, not only is he a standout football player, he is one of the best shot putters nationally. Finding an ounce of bad weight on the 270-pound offensive tackle would prove to be a difficult task. He athleticism was on display at the SPARQ combine last week.
