Beavs' Bolden added to watch list

OREGON STATE's Victor Bolden hasn't taken long to get noticed. The Beaver sophomore wide receiver/return man has been added to the watch list for the Paul Hornung Award.

The annual award is presented to the most versatile player in major college football by the Louisville Sports Commission.

Victor Bolden, a native of Fontana, Calif., was among the Pac-12 Conference leaders for all-purpose yards last season, averaging 104.2 yards per game. With Brandin Cooks moving on to the NFL, his role has the potential to greatly increase.

Bolden’s overall total for all-purpose yards was 1,355 trailing only Brandin Cooks’ 2,019 on the Beavers’ roster in 2013.

A 16-member selection committee of media members and former players determine a pool of finalists and vote the Hornung Award, with a fan vote on Facebook accounting for a 17th vote. The winner will be honored at a banquet in Louisville in January.
