Could a decision come later this summer for Scout 300 wide receiver John Burt?
He is not ruling it out.
"I am just going to commit when it is the right time," said Burt. "It could be before the season or it could be closer to signing day. I just have to feel ready -- when I do, I will just go ahead and commit."
The school Burt may be the closest to committing to at this time is not down south, it is a Big 12 school.
"Texas is my No. 1 school. They are recruiting me very hard and I talk to them a lot. I like the coaching staff, the facilities, and I was always a fan of Texas growing up with family working there.
"I will be spending some time out there the last week of July and I am looking forward to that. Texas is a little ahead right now."
The school running behind the Longhorns is Auburn. Burt has visited there as the Tigers are another school showing a lot of interest in the 6-foot-4, 190 pound wide receiver out of Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln.
"I like the Auburn offense and how they move the ball around," said Burt. "I will probably visit them again during the season."
Florida State and Miami among others are in pursuit of the No. 13 wide receiver.
