Uluave Names Top Five

Semisi Uluave

Semisi Uluave, the 6-5, 320-pound offensive line prospect from Hawaii, has cut his list to five, and UCLA is on it prominently...

Semisi Uluave, the nation's #17-ranked offensive guard from Honolulu (Hawaii) Punahou, wrote in the tweet Thursday: "Thank you to all those who have helped me throughout this process. truly a blessing. It was really tough choosing."

Then in an attached image he continued, "It took my parents and me a long time to get to this point. I want to thank all the coaches that helped me as I went through this recruiting process, I am very humbled and blessed to have been in the position that I am in now. For months I have actually been praying and fasting for help from the Lord. With his guidance, and guidance from my Parents, Caroline and Semisi Uluave, I have narrowed it down to 5 schools. Top 5 (no order): UCLA, Vanderbilt, Oregon, Texas Tech and Wisconsin."

Uluave, 6-5 and 320 pounds, is rated a 4-star prospect by Scout.com and ranked the No. 275 prospect nationally.

According to Scout.com's Doug Kimmel, who named recently named Uluave to his "Freak List" for Hawaii, can bench press 395 pounds and squat 500. Kimmel said of Uluave, "Uluave can play every position on the line and is the type of player offensive line coaches want to have 5 of. I don't think there are many schools that wouldn't get better with a freak like Uluave on their O Line."
