Defensive end prospect Rick Wade committed to UCLA Thursday.

Wade, the 6-6, 235-pound defensive end from Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) Santa Margarita, was on UCLA's campus with his mother when he verbally committed.

Wade was expected to commit to UCLA. The Bruins offered him after their camp in late June, and he was pretty clear he was leaning toward UCLA.

USC offered Wade last week and, coming from a long-time USC family, it was thought the Trojan offer might derail a UCLA commitment.

Wade was also offered by Oregon, Washington, Wisconsin, Arizona State, California, Boston College and more. An interview with Wade is coming soon...
