”My last visit was to Penn State,” said Tim Settle. “It was my third time there and it was a good visit. The coaches were telling me the same thing about how they still wanted me. The coaches were what stood out to me on the visit. They just have a lot of enthusiasm.”
Where does Settle is Settle in the recruiting process?
”I’ll probably have an official updated list of schools in November,” said the 6-foot-2, 339-pound Settle. “I’ll probably cut it down to three or four schools.
”I don’t really have a group of top schools yet, but some of the main schools I like right now are Tennessee, Penn State, Florida State and UCLA. Those are the schools I’ve been in contact with the most and they show me a lot of love.”
The Stonewall Jackson standout already knows four schools that will get official visits.
”I’m going to take all five officials,” he said. “I know I’m going UCLA, Tennessee, Florida State and Penn State, but don't have any dates yet. I’m not sure where I’ll take the fifth one. Everybody has a chance.”
He gave a quick thought on each school.
UCLA: “The fact that coaches came all the way to my school during the evaluation period really impressed because that’s a long trip,” Settle said.
Florida State: “They’ve been recruiting me since my sophomore year and I have a really good relationship with (defensive tackles) coach (Odell) Haggins.”
Tennessee: “I like everything about Tennessee. I like it all.”
Penn State: “I like the coaching staff and the enthusiasm they have.”
Settle will make his college decision on Dec. 20.
