The 6-7 defensive end from Washington, Caesar Rayford, took his official visit last weekend, and provided us some of his impressions. It was his first official visit, and among just three he will take...

One of the fastest rising prospects on the West Coast took his official visit to UCLA this past weekend, and by his account, really enjoyed it.

Spanaway (Wash.) Bethel defensive end Caesar Rayford, 6-7, 230, took the trip to Westwood, getting into town on Saturday morning after a basketball game on Friday night.

“I enjoyed every bit of it,” said Rayford, who was on his first official visit. “It was a great trip. I had been down there this summer for a basketball tournament, but this was the first football-only trip I took.”

Rayford joined Bethel teammate Aaron Klovas, who got in a day previously.

“My host was Justin London, the linebacker from Virginia. He is a great guy. He showed me a real good time when I was there,” said Rayford.

Initially recruited by coach Mark Weber, Rayford spent the majority of his time at UCLA with defensive line coach Don Johnson, as well as defensive coordinator Larry Kerr. Rayford said, “Meeting with Coach Johnson was great. He is an awesome guy and does a real good job with the defensive line. Coach Kerr and I talked a little bit. I also spent some time with Coach Dorrell and he is a real intelligent guy. He knows what he is doing,” said Rayford.

Rayford has narrowed his list to three, UCLA, Washington and Oregon, while Klovas has narrowed his to UCLA, Washington State and Oregon. While they both have differing third schools from the state of Washington, both agree on UCLA and Oregon. “It was good to have Aaron there. We had a lot to talk about when we were there. It was good to have somebody you know real well on the trip with you,” said Rayford.

Rayford will take a few weeks off from trips, and will resume his visits on the 16th-18th of January when he visits Washington, then will visit Oregon the following weekend.

“I should know by the time I am done with my trip to Oregon. I’ll decide after that trip. All three schools are even, and I am undecided on a leader.”

Rayford is qualified academically.
