Ben Howland addressed the press today.
-- Brian Morrison practiced Monday in a limited capacity and did well. It was the first time in 5 weeks. He did show some signs of favoring his hamstring, but trainers said it was more mental than physical. He's expected to play limited minutes against USC tomorrow. Howland expects it will be another week until Morrison is up to full speed.
-- Ryan Hollins will start at center Wednesday.
-- Despite a considerable recent slump, Howland is still optimistic about center Michael Fey. He said Fey is motivated to do better, and that the team needs him to return to the form he had at the beginning of the season. He thinks it's a matter of Fey getting better at using his 250 pounds aggressively.
-- Howland is impressed with USC, particularly with their athleticism. He cited the athleticism of the Craven and Stewart twins, and how their aggressiveness and depth allow them to press, trap and attack the ball.
-- UCLA has yet to play a game with its entire roster yet this season, and will do so for the first time on Wednesday, even though Morrison will be limited.
