Jeff Miller, the 6-5, 230-pound defensive end from Westlake Village (Calif.) Westlake, committed to UCLA today, according to sources at Westlake.
Reportedly, Miller was on UCLA's campus with his father this morning in order to tell the news in person to UCLA Head Coach Karl Dorrell.
Miller chose UCLA over his other two finalists, Oklahoma and Oregon. He had a total of 12 scholarship offers, including from most of the Pac-10.
As a junior Miller recorded 60 tackles, including 14 sacks. He also had four forced fumbles and three recoveries. Splitting time at tight end last season, he grabbed 16 catches for 183 yards and 1 touchdown.
He hasn't played yet in his senior season after breaking his foot during pre-season practice. It's believed he'll be back within a few weeks.
Academically, Miller has a 3.0 GPA and took the SAT on June 4th.
Miller is the younger brother of current USC redshirt freshman tight end, Jimmy Miller.
