Los Angeles (Calif.) Harbor JC offensive lineman Nick Ekbatani
(6-5, 285), who visited UCLA
last weekend and spent the week choosing between the Bruins and Miami
, has committed to UCLA, according to very good sources.
Ekbatani will reportedly sign with UCLA this week and enroll next month, and will participate in spring practice for the Bruins.
A graduate of Torrance (Calif.) South, Ekbatani went to Harbor for one year and took visits to Kentucky, Washington, Miami and UCLA.
Ekbatani said Miami was his leader heading into his UCLA official visit, but in an interview after the visit, Ekbatani said that UCLA had pulled at least even. The talented lineman said that he grew up a UCLA fan and the chance to stay close to his family were big factors.
Ekbatani is expected to come in and immediately compete for a starting tackle position.
After spending the week contemplating between Miami and UCLA, Juco offensive lineman Nick Ekbatani commits to the Bruins, their 21st in this class.
