Anthony Beltran, Beltran is transferring to UCLA from St. John's University, where he played 21 games with 10 starts and scored two goals
and three assists as a freshman in 2005. Beltran prepped at Claremont HS in
Claremont, Calif. and played club soccer for Arsenal FC. He was a starter for
the U.S. Under-18 National Team at the 2005 Milk Cup, playing alongside future
UCLA teammates Sal Zizzo, Jason Leopoldo and Greg Folk and helping the U.S. win
the tournament.
Robert Georgiefski, Georgiefski is a forward from Cedar Park, Texas (Leander
HS). A standout kicker on the school's football team, he earned second-team
All-District honors. Georgiefski has local ties, having turned heads with the
Pateadores at the 2005 State Cup.
Trevor Hunter, Goalkeeper Hunter hails from Chino Hills, Calif. (Ayala HS)
and is a teammate of Myers and Sinderhoff on the Pateadores, which won the
2004-05 national title and the 2005 Surf Cup. At 6-4, Hunter is one of the top
goalkeepers in the CSL Premier League.
James Jaramillo, Midfielder/defender Jaramillo comes to UCLA from Orem, Utah,
where he plays for Mountain View HS. The 2005 NSCAA/adidas Youth All-American
was team captain of the ODP State teams in 2002 and 2003 and a member of the ODP
Region IV teams since 2002. Jaramillo is an all-region and all-state performer,
an ODP All-American and adidas ESP All-Star selection.
Chance Myers, Thousand Oaks, Calif. midfielder/defender Myers received
NSCAA/adidas Youth All-American honors last year and has made an appearance with
the U-18s. As a junior at Thousand Oaks HS, he was selected the 2005 League
Offensive MVP and earned first-team All-CIF honors after helping lead his squad
to its second consecutive CIF title. Myers was also selected to the 2005 adidas
ESP All-Star team.
Kyle Nakazawa, a midfielder from Palos Verdes Estates, Calif., is a starter
on the U.S. Under-17 National Team and has been in residency with the U-17s in
Bradenton, Fla. since Sept. 2003. At the 2005 FIFA U-17 World Championships, he
scored two goals and had one assist to lead the U.S. to a quarterfinal
appearance. Nakazawa, who was nominated for the 2005 U.S. Soccer Young Male
Athlete of the Year Award, spurned pro offers to come to UCLA. He was a Parade
All-American in 2005 and a three-time NSCAA/adidas Boys Youth All-American.
Brian Perk, Perk, who hails from Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., was in
residency with the U.S. U-17 National Team and has since moved on to the U-18s.
He was a member of the 2005 U-17 World Championship squad and is currently
playing with the U-18s at the Slovakia Cup this week. Perk NSCAA/adidas Boys
Youth All-America honors in 2005.
Patrick Rickards, Rickards, a defender from Sacramento, Calif., was in
residency with the U-17s in 2004 and earned NSCAA/adidas Youth All-America
honors. In 2005, he returned to Jesuit HS, where he served as team captain and
received All-Area, All-Metro and All-League honors. Rickards was captain of the
San Juan Sting U-15 to U-18 teams and was named to the 2005 adidas ESP All-Star
team.
Andrew Sinderhoff, Sinderhoff, a midfielder from Mission Viejo, Calif., is a
first-team all-county, all-league and All-CIF honoree at Santa Margarita HS. So
far this season, he has scored 11 goals and 17 assists. A seven-year team
captain for the Pateadores, he led his squad to the 2004-05 U.S. Club Soccer
National Championship. Sinderhoff has been part of the ODP/PDP program the past
two seasons.
Michael Stephens, Stephens, a midfielder/forward from Naperville, Ill.
(Woodridge HS), has been in U-17 residency since spring of 2004 and just last
month participated in the U-18 Mega-Camp. He is a 2005 NSCAA/adidas Boys Youth
All-American and a 2004 Parade All-American. He was also named to the adidas ODP
All-Star team after the 2005 U.S. Youth Soccer ODP International Festival in
Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Danny Suits, a midfielder/defender from Los Alamitos, Calif., is a three-year
starter at Los Alamitos HS and plays club soccer with Wolfpack Blue, with whom
he has served as team captain and defensive stalwart at the past two National
Cups. He has also been part of the ODP/PDP program the past two seasons.
Ryan White, a defender who was a member of the U.S. U-16 National Team when
he was 14, hails from Eugene, Ore. (South Eugene HS) and was a NSCAA/adidas
Youth All-American in 2005. He earned first-team All-State honors in 2005 after
previously being on the second team in 2004 and 2003. White is a member of the
ODP Region IV team.

Girls' 18 Singles Rankings and may be the top American that is planning to go to
college for fall 2006…Reached the semi-finals in singles and quarter-finals in
doubles at the Easter Bowl event last spring…She played at both the US and
French Junior Opens in 2005 and the Australian Junior Open in 2004…She has been
home schooled until this year…

been ranked as high as #2 in Canada (16s) and No. 128 in the ITF (18s)…She was a

MEN'S TRACK & FIELD:
Jordan Calhoun (Oceanside, CA/Vista HS)-One of the best sprinters this year
coming out of San Diego County…Best at 200 meters…
Alex Crabill (Tacoma, WA/Charles Wright HS) - Currently ranks No. 5 in the
nation in the 2-mile (9:01.42); Won the 2006 Tri-District 1A 1600m and 3200m
title (3200 was a meet record, 9:27.39).
Scott Crawford (El Dorado Hills,
CA/Oak Ridge HS)-Was leading the nation for most of the year at 800 meters after
winning the Arcadia Invitational at 1:51.60…Will also run cross country for
Bruins…
Scott and Casey DiCesare (New York/Irvington HS) - Twin brothers who will
compete in the decathlon next season; Scott has jumped 16-5 indoors and Casey
has jumped 15-6 in the pole vault; Casey scored 6,420 points in a high school
decathlon, while Scott scored 6,220.
Tyler Dragon (Clovis West, CA/Clovis West HS) - Currently holds the No. 4
shot put mark in the state (60-4); Won the 2006 CIF Central Section shot put and
discus crowns.
Zack Fowler (Apple Valley, CA/Granite Hills HS) - Will
provide more depth in the sprint events…Has run 10.70 in the 100m/21.8 in the
200m.
Stanley Griffin (San Diego, CA/Mt. Carmel HS)-Will provide valuable depth for
the Bruins in the sprint area…San Diego CIF finalist at both 100 and 200 meters
and had some of best times in the county…
David Klech (San Ramon,
CA/California HS) - Klech currently ranks No. 2 in the nation in the high
hurdles (13.69), and holds the No. 1 110m hurdle 300m hurdle time in the state
(35.45). Also holds the No. 1 prep 400m hurdle time in the nation (50.35). Also
ranks third in the state in the 400m (47.77), 4th in the high jump (6-9), 3rd in
the long jump (23-0), and 7th in the 800m (1:53.1); Won the 2006 CIF Tri-Valley
400m, 110mH, 300mH and long jump titles.
Cade Lindahl (Dana Point, CA/Dana Hills HS)-Had strong year at 400 meters,
finishing second at Orange County Championships with 47.80 time and made the
State Meet…
Jake Matthews (Folsom, Ca/Folsom HS) - Holds the No. 3 time in CA in the
3000m (8:39.22) and No. 8 time in the 3200m (9:10.11); Placed second at the 2006
CIF San Joaquin Section Championships in the 3200m.
Marlon Patterson (Elk Grove, Ca/Franklin) - Currently ranks No. 4 in the
nation in the 800m (1:52.09) and No. 3 in CA. Holds the No. 3 time in CA in the
1600m (4:09.70). Also ranks 4th in the nation in the 3000m (8:41.12); At the CIF
San Joaquin Championships, placed first in the 1600m and 2nd in the 800m and
3200m.
Jonathan Quinn (St. Margaret's/San Juan Capistrano) - Currently ranks fifth
in the state in the pole vault with a jump of 16-5; Won the 2006 CIF Southern
Section Div. IV title.
Darius Reed (Denver, CO/George Washington HS) - Top returning senior in the
nation in the 110m hurdles (13.70). Reed was also the top high school performer
at the USATF Junior Nationals last summer over the college high hurdles (14.30);
Won the 2006 Colorado 5A 110mH title; Has ran 37.01 in the 300m hurdles this
season; Also has ran 14.27 over the college high hurdles.
Nick Robinson (Lake Forest, CA/El Toro HS) - Ranks No. 4 in the nation in the
discus and No. 3 in the state (197-0). Holds the top shot put mark in CA and No.
3 mark in the U.S. (65-1); Won the 2006 CIF Division II shot put and discus
titles.
Darius Savage (San Diego, CA/Morse HS) - Currently ranks No. 2 in the nation
and CA in the discus (206-4), and No. 2 in CA in the shot put (62-6). Will also
play football at UCLA; Won the 2006 CIF San Diego Section shot put and discus
titles.
Steven Taylor (Hueneme HS) - Is a triple jumper with a top mark of 47-10.75
last season; Finished second at the CIF Division II finals in the triple jump,
47-8.50.
Bo Taylor (Newport Beach, CA/Newport Harbor HS) - Currently ranks 1st in the
nation and state in the discus (208-5). Also ranks 2nd in the state in the shot
put (61-4.25); Placed second in both the shot put and discus at the 2006 CIF
Southern Section Div. II finals.
William Tsai (Sunnyvale, CA/Homestead HS)-Will provide depth in the throws
events with his best event being the discus…Has one of the top ten prep throws
in the nation this year at 183-07…
Greg Woepse (Santa Ana, CA/Mater Dei HS) -
Currently ranks sixth in the nation and second in CA in the pole vault with a
jump of 16-7; Won the 2006 CIF Southern Section Div. II pole vualt crown; sister
is a pole vaulter on the women's team.
WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD:
Keneisha Creary, (Clarendon, Jamaica/Southwestern Christian
University-
Strong jumper…Creary this spring has top jump marks of 5-8.75 in
the high jump and 39-1.75 in the triple jump. She recently won the high jump
(5-5) at the Texas-Arlington Open on May 5. Last season, she placed 12th
(5-3.75) at the National JC Championships and in 2004, at the Jamaica HS
National Championships, Creary finished third (5-5.25) in the high jump.
Krishna Curry (Nashville, TN/University HS) - a middle distance and cross
country standout who is considered to be one of the top 15 halfmilers in the U.
S. She's a two-time Junior Olympic 800m winner (2005-2:11.16/2004-2:10). Also in
2005, Curry was the Tennessee State champion (2:13.79) and she was the
three-time State 400m winner (2002-04). At the 2005 USA Youth Nationals, Curry
finished second in the 800m (2:12.65).
Christine 'Cobbie' Jones (San Martin, CA/Live Oak HS) - another top 800m
runner, Jones has missed most of this spring with a foot stress fracture. In
2005 she placed sixth in the event (2:12.66) at the CIF State Championships and
in 2004, she finished fourth (2:11.83). At the 2005 adidas Golden West
Invitational, Jones won the 800m in a time of 2:10.54. As a junior in the
Central Coast Section, Jones ranked in the Top 10 in four different events
(400m, 800m, 1600m, 300m hurdles). Her top 800m time from 2005 was 2:09.84. She
is also an accomplished equestrian.
Careena Onosai (Word of Life HS/Kaka'ako, Hawaii)- one of the top women's
throwers in the history of Hawaii high schools, Onosai, who suffered a lower
back stress fracture earlier this season, still won both the shot put (39-0.25)
and discus (150-3) at the recently concluded Hawaii State meet. In 2005 as a
junior, she again won both events at the Hawaii State meet (discus, 130-8,
entered as top seed, 145-9/shot put, 39-08, entered as top seed, 40-7.25). As a
sophomore in 2004, Onosai won the State discus title with the sixth-best prep
mark in the nation (151-9, eight feet off the then state record). As a sophomore
in 2003, she was the Interscholastic League of Hawaii discus and shot put
champion. A standout all-around athlete, in 2005 she verbally committed to
Hawaii to play volleyball (2004 second-team All-State). In basketball, as a
sophomore she was first-team ILH Div. II and as a freshman, Onosai was the ILH
Div. II Co-Player of the Year. She's the daughter of Hawaii football standout
Joe Onosai. He was an All-Conference offensive lineman for the Warriors in
1985-86 and a sixth round selection of the Dallas Cowboys in 1987. He also
placed third in the World's Strongest Man competition. Joe Onosai is the
Athletic Director and assistant pastor at Word of Life HS.
Victoria Pena (Huntington Beach, CA/Edison HS) - regarded as the No. 1
women's high school pole vaulter in the West, Pena this spring has one of the
top marks in the U. S., vaulting 13-0.50. She also vaulted 12-7 at the Mt. SAC
Relays. In 2005, Pena was the CIF Div. II champion, with another national
elite-level prep clearance of 13-2.
Kristina (Nicole) Pennes (Martinez, CA/College Park HS) - has top track marks
of 2:18.8 (800m), 4:56.6 (mile), 4:54.9 (1600m) and 10:37.1 (3200m). In 2004,
Pennes earned prep All-American track honors, running on the College Park HS
National Champion 6400m relay at the adidas Nationals. In 2005, Pennes was a
State qualifier in the 1600m and 3200m and in 2004, in the 1600m. Also last
season, she was the NCS Tri-Valley Champion in the 1600m and 3200m. In cross
country, she was a member of the 2005 and 2004 College Park HS State
Championship teams (in 2003, College Park HS placed second in the State and
ranked No. 5 in U. S.). A Footlocker Western Regional Finalist, Pennes in 2005
was the DFAL individual champion and she was a four-time CIF State Championship
qualifier in cross country (2002-05). Pennes was a Contra Costa Times track
& field selection in 2005 and 2004 and a cross country choice in 2003-05.
Lindsay Regan (Easton, PA/Easton Area HS) - entered her senior campaign as
the No. 1 ranked women's prep pole vaulter in the U. S. In indoor competition,
she's Pennsylvania's three-consecutive State champion and this winter jumped an
indoor personal-best 13-0. She has set the Pennsylvania outdoor (13-6, tied for
the No. 7 spot all-time in the event in U. S. history) and indoor vault records.
As a sophomore in 2004, she won the State title (13-0), the Penn Relays (12-7 ½)
and her best mark that season of 13-2 was No. 3 on the U. S. high school chart
(at the time, tied for 10th all-time). Her sister, Courtney, is a sophomore
vaulter at Princeton.
Hannah Roeder (Des Moines, IA/Roosevelt HS) - one of the Midwest's top
distance runners, she's an Iowa All-State selection at 1500m, winning the State
crown in 2005 (4:38.87). Roeder has also run 10:38 for 3000m. As a junior, she
placed second (10:14.35) in the 3000m at the Drake Relays. In 2004, Roeder was
the individual champion at the State Cross Country
Bailey Schutte (Sherwood, OR/Jesuit HS) - midway through this season,
Schutte's top marks have been 4:39 (1500m), 10:09 (3000m), 18:12 (indoor 5000m)
and 18:10 (5K cross country). This year, she was the Centennial Invitational
champion in the two mile and last season, Schutte was the Metro League champion
in the 3K. In cross country, she led Jesuit's cross country team to the Nike
Team Nationals in both 2005 and 2004. Individually in cross country, she was
third-team All-State as a senior, first-team All-State as a sophomore and
second-team All-State as a freshman. Also in cross country, in 2005 Schutte was
the Metro League runnerup and in 2003, the Tri Valley League champion.
Teirra Wiliams-Ward (Antioch, CA/James Logan)-Strong hurdler that was 3rd in
the State Meet in the 300 hurdles at 41.98 and finished 5th in the 100 hurdles
at 14.45…Has also run on relays…
Maris Wisdom, (Clarendon,
Jamaica/Southwestern Christian University)-Good sprinter…Wisdom this spring has
run top times of 12.10 (100m), 24.73 (200m) and 55.61 (400m). Last season, at
the National JC Championships, she was a 400m qualifier and ran on SW
Christian's 4X100m relay (second leg, second-place, 46.06) and 4X400m relay
(third leg, third-place, 3:48.59… As a senior at Vere Technical HS in 2004 - at
the World Juniors, Wisdom ran the second leg on Jamaica's 4X100m relay, that
placed third (3:30.37); at the Junior CARIFTA in Hamilton, Bermuda, she finished
third (53.94) in the Girls Under 20 400m and at the Penn Relays, Wisdom ran the
second leg on Vere's 4X100m relay that won the girls event.
WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL:
EMILY CLEMENTS, 6-0 Outside Hitter, Isidore Newman HS in Metairie, LA…Victim
of Hurricane Katrina and is spending her senior year in Houston, Texas at
Episcopal HS before hopefully moving back home in January to her area just
outside of New Orleans…Rated among top 50 senior prospects by
PrepVolleyball.Com…Lefty hitter that can play both the outside hitter and
opposite positions…Her club team Cajunland finished 5th over the summer at the
2005 AAU Nationals in Orlando…
