As expected, Ben Olson has been named the starting quarterback for UCLA's September 2 opener against Utah.

UCLA head coach Karl Dorrell met with both quarterbacks on Sunday night to deliver the news.

Dorrell said that Pat Cowan was disappointed but that he's a fighter.
