Stanback and Fairfax defeated rival Westchester in the City final at the Sports Arena Saturday night, 55-46.
Stanback had 20 points, and 10 points in the fourth quarter to secure the win.
Stanback, for the season, is averaging 26 points and 12.5 rebounds per game and is shooting just about 45% from three.
He's a shoe-in for Los Angeles City Player of the Year.
Fairfax now goes on to the state playoffs as the #1 seed in the Southern California bracket of Division 1, facing Kaiser Tuesday night.
Kevin Love, the 6-9 prospect committed to UCLA from Lake Oswego (Ore.) High, considered the #1 post player in the nation, is closing in on the all-time Oregon scoring record.
Saturday night his Lake Oswego team won a playoff game against, Gresham, 71-40, to earn the school's fourth straight berth in the Oregon state tournament.
Love had 35 points, 11 rebounds and 6 blocked shots, despite being double- and tripled-team.
Love is now just 43 points short of the Oregon state scoring record of 2,584 points, which was established in 1957 by Bob "Pudgy" Hunt. With more than likely a few games left in Love's high school career, it's a good bet he'll break the record.
Love is averaging 34 points, 18 rebounds, 5 blocks, and 4 assists per game.
He was also recently named to the McDonald's All-American team.
