AP named its All-American Team Monday, and UCLA's Arron Afflalo was named to the first-team list.
"First and foremost team goals are always most important, but when it comes to the All-America team it's a positive thing," Afflalo told AP. "It shows that other people who know the game of basketball understand my contributions and importance to my team."
With freshmen Kevin Durant and Greg Oden making the team, it's the first time since 1990 that two freshmen were voted to The Associated Press' All-America first team.
