DeWayne Walker, UCLA's defensive coordinator, will stay on at UCLA under new head coach Rick Neuheisel.
Walker, who was courted by Washington and Texas, was thought to be leaning toward leaving UCLA in the last couple of days.
Neuheisel met with Walker today and the deal was struck.
Neuheisel, when he got the UCLA job, said Walker, who was a candidate for the head coaching position himself, was his #1 recruit.
It's a big victory for Neuheisel, since Walker is not only considered a good coordinator but is critical to keeping UCLA's #6-ranked recruiting class intact.
Defensive line coach Todd Howard and linebackers coach Chuck Bullough will also return to UCLA.
