Arcadia (Calif.) receiver Kevan Walker says he remains a soft committment to UCLA but his official visit to Oregon State has him seriously considering the Beavers...

Arcadia (Calif.) athlete Kevan Walker, a soft verbal to UCLA, took an official visit to Oregon State this past weekend and he left Corvallis very impressed.

“I loved it,” said Walker. “I had a great time. I love the college town setting and it has a very family-like atmosphere wherever you go.”

Walker saw some familiar faces while in Corvallis.

Darrell Catchings was my host and the team is so tight,” said Walker. “I was around all the guys the whole time. I got to see my boy Eric Rider who played for Arcadia a few years back and Lance Mitchell too from Muir.”

Walker said that he still considers himself a soft verbal to UCLA, but is torn between the Bruins and Beavers.

"I would say that I'm 50-50,” said Walker. “I want to sit down and talk it over with my family and see what is best for me. At the end, I don’t want to make a decision based off what everybody else wants me to do or think I should do. I want to make the one that’s right for me.”

The son of UCLA defensive coordinator DeWayne Walker, Kevan said that it may take him up until his LOI is due before he makes his final decision.

“Its probably just Oregon State and UCLA for me,” said Walker. “But I’ll probably be deciding on Signing Day.”
