UCLA-committed Jrue Holiday was named the Gatorade National Player of the Year for 2008, making him the second UCLA signee in a row to receive the honor, following Kevin Love earning the distinction last year...

We're hearing that Jrue Holiday, the 6-3 guard from North Hollywood (Calif.) Campbell Hall, has been named the Gatorade National Player of the Year.

That makes it two years in a row a UCLA signee has won the national honor, with Holiday following Kevin Love winning the award last year.
