UCLA Defensive Coordinator DeWayne Walker will be named the new head coach of New Mexico State.

Crimson Illustrated, the Scout.com site that covers New Mexico State, reported the news this morning: Story on Crimson Illustrated

Speculation about who will replace Walker as UCLA's defensive coordinator is rampant.

A name we've heard is current Montana Head Coach Bobby Hauck. Hauck, who has had success at Montana, is the brother of current UCLA defensive backs coach, Tim Hauck. Hauck worked on Neuheisel's staff at both Washington and Colorado.

This doesn't mean that Hauck is the leading candidate -- or even a known candidate. His name has merely been mentioned in UCLA football circles.

Ricky Hunley, the former college and NFL coach, is also a name mentioned. Hunley currently works as an assistant to Norm Chow.
