So it was no surprise that the three-star picked his lifelong favorite while on his official visit.
"I committed to UCLA with my family there on Saturday night at Coach (Rick) Neuheisel's house," said Yandall."
Yandall had visited Arizona and Arizona State previously, but had long been favoring the Bruins. He postponed his official visit to Westwood from December to this weekend, and decided to end his recruitment.
"My family is all UCLA fans and they wanted me to be close by," said Yandall. "It's a great education and the coaches are all really cool."
Yandall said he will graduate early, and be at UCLA in the spring.
"I'll enroll in March and be able to go to spring football," said Yandall.
Able to play numerous positions along the line, Yandall said the UCLA staff likes him as a tackle, and he's willing to play anywhere.
"They want me to play tackle, but I'll play whatever they ask me," said Yandall.
